This book explains the holistic knowledge of xenobiotics, their mode of action as well as toxic impact on living organisms at the cellular level. This book also enlightens readers about various mitigation approaches against xenobiotics, especially phytoremediation-based technology. The book also provides a critical overview of xenobiotic contamination in both abiotic and biotic components of the environment.

Recent trends in various molecular remedial strategies like nanotechnology and microbe-assisted approaches have also been discussed. Omics Approaches in Xenobiotics are also discussed.

The book will be a timely addition to the field of green technology and would act as a landmark.

Key features discussed in this book include:

• Biomonitoring of Xenobiotics, Deteriorating Quality of Aquatic Bodies due to Xenobiotics, and Current Approaches for Remediation of Xenobiotics. Moreover, Transgenic Approaches for Combating Xenobiotic Toxicity is also one of the landmarks.

• A burning issue over Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs), Sources of POPs and their contamination in food products, Types of persistent organic pollutants, and Impact of persistent organic pollutants on the arctic region is one of the major key features.

• Latest mitigation technology including the role of Nanotechnology is very interesting. Another important feature of this book is the inclusion of Defense system mechanisms of tolerant plants to combat Xenobiotics and Biotransformation of Xenobiotics.

• Genetic alteration in living organisms to combat toxicity exerted by xenobiotics has also been highlighted.

The book will be a timely addition to the field and would act as a landmark. This book is ideal for those who are looking to deepen their knowledge about the xenobiotics spectrum in the environment, their augmentation, and green technology to combat it. The book will be suitable for students, researchers, academicians, and policy makers.
