BRUCE H. LIPSHUTZ is Professor of Chemistry at theUniversity of California, Santa Barbara. Much of Dr. Lipshutz'sscientific career has been dedicated to developing new reagents andsynthetic methodologies, especially those involvingorganometallics. Among his many awards, Dr. Lipshutz has receivedan Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Fellowship, Camille & HenryDreyfus Teacher-Scholar Award, an ACS Cope Scholar Award, thePresidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award (2011), and the EROSBest Reagent of the Year Award (2012).
