With over 30 years of experience spanning academia, industry, and expert witness testimony, she has made significant contributions to the development of ergonomic principles in workplace safety, product design, and high-risk occupational environments.

As a leader in ergonomics research, Dr. McCauley has authored over 150 technical publications, including peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and conference proceedings. She is the author of Ergonomics: Foundational Principles, Applications, and Technologies, a widely used textbook that provides an essential foundation in ergonomic science and its real-world applications. Her expertise in human-centered design, occupational biomechanics, and safety engineering has been instrumental in advancing ergonomics across multiple industries.
