J. FERNANDO NAVEDA is cofounder and Chair of the Departmentof Software Engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology, wherehe has been since 1993. He was a visiting scientist at the SoftwareEngineering Institute and has held faculty positions at TheUniversity of Scranton and The University of Kansas. STEPHEN B. SEIDMAN is Dean of the College of NaturalSciences and Mathematics at the University of Central Arkansas. Hehas held administrative and faculty positions at New JerseyInstitute of Technology, Auburn University, Colorado StateUniversity, and George Mason University. Seidman's researchinterests are in software architectures and formal methods. An IEEEComputer Society Certified Software Development Professional, heplays a leading role in the IEEE Computer Society's effort toincrease professionalism in software engineering.
