Chapter 1 - Are You Mastering Life or is Life Mastering You?

Are you mastering life or is life mastering you? This introspective question must be harnessed and answered by every individual. All of us are always answering this question in one way or another. Mastering life is the process of experiencing complete wholeness in every area of life. Mastering life means that you are moving in the direction of joy, peace, and abundance in every area of your life. Being mastered by life situations is the drudgery of an existence where things just don’t seem to work right, causing the experience of insufficiency and dissatisfaction in every area. When you’re being mastered by life situations, you dwell in a mental and spiritual state where things just don’t seem to work in your favor. You will either master life, or be mastered by life situations. There really is no middle ground. When it comes to the ship of your life, you are the captain! You are the one who must decide the destination and the direction in which you will go. You have the responsibility to navigate obstacles, realign your focus, continue in the established direction, and arrive safely at your destination. When we talk about mastering life, we’re not talking about struggling against outward conditions or mandating forceful control over other people. We’re talking about mastering yourself, because when you master yourself you are then equipped to master life! I believe that God has destined Unlimited Good for every soul on this planet, but it is the individual who must decide for himself/herself that this goodness is for him/her! You must be convinced for yourself that God has a life of pure enjoyment preordained for you. You must have an internal conviction that your life is not intended for fear or worrying about what’s going to happen from one day to the next. The divine intention that occupies every soul is the intention of blessing! All of the goodness that God is resides in you. It’s ready for you to activate it and you must be willing to do so by building and operating your faith. I have discovered that there is a certain way to live life, in order to get maximum enjoyment out of it - circumstances notwithstanding. It all resides in your state of consciousness. The Holy Spirit has shown me how to process information in a way that causes me to be on top and in a place of peace and prosperity, all the time. I call this inside-out living. Once you start living like this, you’ll see it’s really the only way to truly LIVE. You CAN live in such a way where challenges, circumstances and problems do not overtake you! No, the God-power in you overtakes them and produces Unlimited Good for your life-experience. There should be nothing that comes across your path that you aren’t equipped to handle. The Divine Christ in you has given you divine ability to live this life masterfully! God has put within EVERY individual the ability to be a master at life. God has put within every soul and mind an internal ability, a power that works in the affairs of men which raises man and woman up on the wings of divine signs and wonders. We have the ability to function in a realm where we’re not just merely existing, but we’re supernaturally living blessed lives. In order to begin living this elevated lifestyle, you must know that life is determined from within, never without. Although it may seem as if outside circumstances are forever determining the human experience of life, that is not the truth! The truth of me and the truth of you is that life produces from the inside - out. Yes, life produces from the INSIDE - OUT! If in your mind and spirit you’re constantly being tossed and turned in a perpetual state of uneasiness trying to keep your head above water from one life crisis after another, then you are living life outside-in. This means that you are allowing everything that’s going on in the outer world to affect your inner world. If you live life outside-in, then world conditions are the thermostat for your temperament. There can be no inner stability, no sense of consistency or security with this life-perspective. Sure, you can keep doing things the way you’ve been doing it, but it will only get worse. An internal change is necessary. It’s time to repent, change your way of thinking, alter your thought processes, and be born-again by having a fresh perspective on life. You’ve got to get a new set of eyes and begin to see things differently. That’s why you’re reading this book right now. When you live life inside-out, all things become new and subject to you.  
Christ - Your Divine Ability The operation of life is a divine mystery, hidden in Christ. It may appear to be a confusing, tricky, double-clutching game of deceit when not understood through the revelation of Christ. Thank God, living this masterful life doesn’t require us to rely solely on our natural ability. The good news is we’ve been equipped with divine ability in Christ. Christ represents the supernatural ability of divinity pulsating through you and among you. For clarity’s sake, when I mention Christ I am not resigned to a man stuck in history over 2,000 years ago. I am referring to the ever-present spiritual reality of Christ - the Anointed One and His Anointing; the Presence and Power of God, right here, right now! The finished work of Christ is divinity residing in humanity. So whenever you speak or act in the Name and Nature of Jesus Christ, you are functioning in the fullness of heaven’s blessing and power in the here and now! The Lord Jesus Christ redeemed ALL of humanity from hellish curses to heavenly blessings, thereby reconciling us all back into intimate union with Almighty God, Unlimited Good. Christ is the ever-present reality of God’s highest ideal for man. Christ is your spiritual identity of Unlimited Good. Christ is your life of beauty and abundance. Christ is your life of heaven on earth. Christ is your divine ability for masterful living. This Christ, who now fills all things, everywhere, with Himself, is presently accessible to all and excludes no one (Ephesians 1:23, 4:10). The Christ ideal exists for every soul; it’s the finished work of Christ for all of humanity. Nobody is excluded from the holistic, multifaceted, all-encompassing salvation in Christ Jesus. However, it’s up to us to enter into our Christ-identity in order to walk in the fullness of our inheritance. You see, God wants His people to live blessed lives. As we seek the Lord and grow in His Word, we become aware of all that has been freely given to us in Christ. “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature...” (2 Peter 1:2-4) What does this divine nature do? It causes us not to just accept life on the basis of the world without. This divine nature causes us to function in the knowledge of God which activates grace (divine favor) and peace. When you truly find the knowledge of God, you find the knowledge of your truest self. To find the knowledge of God is to find the essence and the truest nature of who you are. To know who you are and to know the Spirit that indwells you is to know God! The problem with some of our religious practices and cultural customs is that we attempt to know God without knowing ourselves. How can you know God and not know yourself? How can you know yourself and not know God? God is intimately and intricately connected with the individual because the individual exists in and through the Spirit of God! Yes, God has given us ALL THINGS that pertain to life and godliness. His divine power is what enables us to access every good thing we require for life on earth. There shouldn’t be any areas of our lives that remain dysfunctional or insufficient when walking in the truth of God’s Word. When divine favor is in operation, things just seem to work out for your good. The intimate, personal knowledge of God sanctions us from the dysfunctions of the world. Since Christ has redeemed us from every curse ever known to humankind, it is ignorance and folly that keep us from walking in the blessing of the Lord (Galatians 3:13-14, 29). God would not be the one to blame for our misery and bad luck if He’s already provided a way out of such low living. So it’s up to us to decide the kind of life we’re going to live. It’s our decision to choose life and to walk in the Way that’s been established. Everything God has ever done on our behalf in Christ has been for our betterment and uplifting. Under God’s blessing, we have a promise of being above, only! (See Deuteronomy 28:13.) Who would choose to live a defeated life under circumstances, when the provision for high living has been provided? Only the person who hasn’t been armed with God’s knowledge or the one who doesn’t believe. God says that His people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). But, He freely gives His...
