Dr. Subodh R. Shivde, presently working as a professor and head of Urosurgery and Transplant Services at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital and Research Centre, Pune, Maharashtra, India. He obtained his training in General Surgery and Urosurgery and Renal transplant from KEM Hospital and Seth GS Medical College Mumbai, followed by advanced training in Minimal Access Surgery and Laparoscopic Urosurgery in the UK from 1995 till 2001. After doing FRCS Urology and FEBU and Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery IRCAD France, he worked as a Consultant Urologist at the prestigious Kings College London. Following a fellowship in Laparoscopic Urology at Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, on his return to India, he established a state-of-the-art Urology Department in Pune in 2001, heading it since its inception. With over 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals, presentation of several hundred papers across the globe in various scientific meetings, and a reviewer for some scientific journals such as J MAS and SaudiJournal of Kidney Transplant Diseases.

His main work areas involve renal stone surgeries and Uro-oncology with a particular interest in Laparoscopic and Robotics.
