The manual Reproductive Biology, Endocrinology and Assisted Reproductive Technology serve as a comprehensive, step-by-step guide for undergraduate and postgraduate students of Zoology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, and Medical Sciences. It integrates fundamental concepts with advanced experimental approaches, beginning with animal handling and histological examinations, and progressing to modern techniques such as hormonal assays, protein profiling, oocyte retrieval, embryo grading, and infertility investigations. Detailed coverage of assisted reproductive technologies including IVF, ICSI, cryopreservation, and embryo transfer is complemented by discussions on ethics, legal frameworks, and the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in reproductive health. To support effective learning, the manual incorporates illustrations, labelled images, surgical video guide, glossary and references, making it an invaluable resource for both classroom teaching and online learning. Scientifically rigorous and practically oriented, it equips learners with conceptual clarity, technical skills, and ethical insight into the evolving field of reproductive biology.

Key Features:

• Step-by-step coverage of both basic and advanced experimental procedures in reproductive biology and endocrinology.

• Detailed modules on assisted reproductive technologies (ART), including IVF, ICSI, embryo grading, and cryopreservation.

• Integration of contemporary issues such as ethics, legal aspects, and artificial intelligence in reproductive health.

• Rich visual aids, including labelled images, illustrations, histological sections, and a step-by step surgical video guide, to support effective learning.

• Glossary of key terms and references to relevant literature for further study.

Jyoti Taneja is an Assistant Professor, with over 15 years of teaching experience in the Department of Zoology at Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi. Her research focuses on reproductive health, infectious disease epidemiology, and the application of machine learning in disease biology. She has a particular interest in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), menstrual health, and reproductive tract infections, exploring how lifestyle factors influence women’s reproductive well-being.

In addition to her work in reproductive health, Dr. Taneja applies AI-driven methods to improve diagnostic accuracy and support vaccine development. Her expertise in infectious disease epidemiology has been pivotal in understanding the dynamics of COVID-19, including disease severity, breakthrough infections, post-COVID sequelae, and vaccine hesitancy. Her research has contributed significantly to evidence-based public health policies and interventions, and is widely published in leading scientific journals.

Priya Bhardwaj is a Scientist in the Department of Pharmacology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. She obtained her B.Sc. (Hons.) in Zoology, M.Sc. in Zoology, and Ph.D. from the University of Delhi, India. During her Master’s degree, she specialized in reproductive biology and subsequently received training in clinical research methods in public health.

Her research paper got published in reputed National and International journals and has over five years of experience in conducting reproductive biology practicals for postgraduate students. Her research interests include proteomics-based cancer diagnostics, cardiovascular pharmacology, COVID-19, and reproductive health. Dr. Bhardwaj has also been recognized as a resource person in several workshops, refresher courses, and faculty development programs.
