Ronald O. Valdiserri has been professionally involved in AIDS prevention since the beginning of the epidemic, first as a researcher at the University of Pittsburgh and now as Deputy Director of the Division of STD/HIV Prevention, at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He is also the author of Preventing AIDS: The Design of Effective Programs and of many articles.
