Dassanayake, Rohan S
Dr. Rohan S. Dassanayake, a Biophysical Chemist, received his Ph. D. in Physical Chemistry (2014) from Kent State University, USA. In recognition of his research performances, Dr. Dassanayake received the Taylor Graduate Student Research Award for Excellence in Research from the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Kent State University in 2014. After completing his Ph.D., Dassanayake joined Texas Tech University, USA, as Postdoctoral Research Associate in 2015. He also worked as a Chemistry Assistant Professor at Ithaca College, USA, from 2018-2019, before joining the Department of Biosystems Technology at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka as a Senior Lecturer. Dr. Dassanayake currently serves as Associate Editor of the Journal of Advances in Technology, published by the Faculty of Technology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura and a Tropical Advisory Panel member of Water Journal.

Sillanpää, Mika
Mika Sillanpää's research work centers on chemical treatment in environmental engineering and environmental monitoring and analysis. The recent research focus has been on the resource recovery from waste streams.

Sillanpää received his M.Sc. (Eng.) and D.Sc. (Eng.) degrees from the Aalto University where he also completed an MBA degree in 2013. Since 2000, he has been a full professor/adjunct professor at the University of Oulu, the University of Eastern Finland, the LUT University, the University of Eastern Finland and the University of Johannesburg.

Vithanage, Meththika
Dr Meththika Vithanage is a Professor in Natural Resources at University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. Her research approach builds on enabling measurements of concentrations and reaction rates in environmental samples for key/emerging pollutants in the environment in order to assess their fate and transport to discover solutions to remediate those using different geo/bio/nano materials.
Dr Vithanage's contribution to science has been recognized by The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) presenting the Fayzah M. Al-Kharafi award in 2020. She is a Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, Sri Lanka, and Institute of Chemistry, Ceylon, and was selected as one of the Early Career Women Scientists by the Organization for Women Scientists in Developing Countries, Italy. Her outstanding performance in research publications was recognized by the Presidential Awards, Sri Lanka, for consecutive 8 years from 2011
