Miloš Zatkalik is a composer and music theorist, and a Professor at the Faculty of Music at the University of Arts in Belgrade, Serbia. His principal research interests include the analysis of 20th- and 21st-century music, relationships between music and literature, and psychoanalytic foundations of music analysis.

Milena Medic is Assistant Professor of Music Theory at the Faculty of Music, University of Arts in Belgrade, Serbia. Her book Anima Archetype and Transformation of the Creative Consciousness from Wagner’s Isolde to Berg’s Lulu was published in 2012. Her recent articles include “The Use of Nostalgia: Pastoral Reminiscences in Alban Berg’s Lulu” and “Zephyr is Returning: Magical Discourse in the Sixteenth Century Italian Madrigal.”

Denis Collins is Senior Lecturer in Musicology at the University of Queensland, Australia. He has published widely on Renaissance compositional techniques, especially canon, fuga and related procedures. His recent publications include an article on Counterpoint for Oxford Bibliographies in Music, and his edited book, Music Theory and Its Methods: Structures, Challenges, Directions, published by Peter Lang in 2013.
