A Dream About This Book Years ago I dreamed about a book I would write in the future. In the dream I was looking at the book which fell open to the middle because of inserts located there. The inserts reminded me of free samples offered in women's magazines for perfumes and other products. The inserts offered in this book were free samples of dress shirts with bright colors such as: pink, lavender, chartreuse, teal, and coral. They were starched and folded and the reader was able to pick any one of them or all if they so desired. I was amazed that something so valuable would be included with the purchase of a book. ---- I then woke up. I asked others for an interpretation, but never felt that any interpretation was correct. God revealed the dream's interpretation a few months before this book went to print. If you decide to purchase you will be holding the book from that dream in your hands.

Chapter 2 Why Is Jesus the Wedding Savior? Who is God passionate about? Since mankind was created to be the bride of Christ, when man sinned they were unfaithful to the Groom. God is still passionately in love with mankind because His love never changes so, here is the obstacle that must be overcome. How is the Holy Son of God supposed to marry someone who is no longer innocent? We now have an unfaithful bride who was created with the intended purpose of marrying a Holy God, and now there is no way this is possible! Because God cannot be reduced to the level of fallen man, there is only one solution. Man must be brought up to the level of God's holiness. There is but one way for the union to go forward; God Himself must restore His bride's purity. He alone has the passionate love and holy capability to succeed in such a rescue. Jesus makes His impure bride pure again at the cross by using His own blood to make the marriage covenant legal. Jesus is going to come and purchase back His bride's purity with His own holy blood. When a women has not been with a man before marriage, there is blood when the marriage is consummated. At the moment mankind sinned, they defiled themselves with the devil. There is no longer innocent blood to seal the covenant of marriage. In order to make the marriage covenant legal Jesus, at the cross, makes His impure bride pure again by using His own sinless blood. No matter what horrible sins you have committed in your life, when you accept Jesus's offer, your sins are washed away and you are as pure as snow. In our minds the earthly memories may linger, but as far as God is concerned, it is as if they never happened. If you are thinking that this could not be possible, then remember this whole mission was humanly impossible, yet God did it! Psalms 103:11-12 says it this way, "For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us." The distance between east and west cannot be measured. Yet, that is how far you can be separated from your sin by believing in the work that Jesus did for you, His bride. You are the joy set before Christ. Jesus Christ is "The Wedding Savior". He came to buy His bride out of sin and save His Own wedding. "looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God" (Hebrews 12:2). When I teach, I often ask the audience if they know what the joy set before Christ is. The highest percentage of the audience that has known the answer was about five percent. I cannot fully explain how that grieves the Holy Spirit. His mission is to reveal to you what has been given to you by God through the marriage covenant. "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God" (1 Corinthians 2:12). You are the joy set before Christ! You are the reason He endured the cross. He despised your shame because it separated your relationship with Him. Therefore, He removed it by taking it upon Himself at the cross. After He finished His work, He sat down. I was feeling frustrated about people not realizing their worth to God and I wrote the following song. May the revelation of your importance burn like a fire in your heart as you understand, more deeply, the love God has for you. I am the smile God sees on His face; I am the reason He showed His grace. I am the one you love. I am the one you love. He set His eyes upon a prize, And that prize it was me. Hallelujah this gospel has set me free. Hallelujah this gospel has set me free. I am the one you love. I am the one you love. The church will arise with fire in her eyes, And then she will see The flaming eyes of the One who is her's for eternity. Hallelujah your love has captured me. Hallelujah your love has captured me. I am the one you love. I am the one you love. I am the one you love. I am the joy that was set before Christ; I am the reason there is dance in His life. I am the smile God sees on His face; I am the reason He showed His grace. I am the one you love. I am the one you love. I am the one you love. Why is there a conflict in Cana? To better understand the bigger picture of the gospel it will be helpful to look at the biblical account of Jesus's first miracle recorded in John 2:1-11. "On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, "They have no wine. "Jesus said to her, "Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come." His mother said to the servants, "Whatever He says to you, do it." Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. Jesus said to them, "Fill the waterpots with water." And they filled them up to the brim. And He said to them, "Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast." And they took it. When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. And he said to him, "Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!" This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him." Taking into consideration the animosity that already existed between Jesus and Satan, I believe there is a lot more going on at the wedding in Cana than appears on the surface. When two fighters enter a ring, both walk to the middle and have what is called a "stare down." They look into each other's eyes for signs of fear and try to intimidate their opponent. I believe the situation at this wedding is similar. Satan knows Jesus and His disciples are in attendance. He sees this as an opportunity to bring shame on the groom's family by exploiting their financial situation. Satan also has the added bonus of flaunting his authority over mankind in the face of Jesus. Is Satan saying, "This is my ring (earth) and I am the strongest one here?" Running out of wine would be an indication that the groom may be unable to provide adequately for his new wife. The shame of this would be horrific. The bride's father would also have reservations about giving his consent to the marriage contract, supposing he may have chosen the wrong man for his daughter. This will be a disgrace on the family. Shame is Satan's main weapon at this wedding. The scenario has been set and, if Satan achieves his goal, the trust and intimacy of this couple will be ruined on their first day together. Shame was also Satan's main weapon to reinforce mankind's guilt in the Garden of Eden. Shame is what drove man to hide from God after their sin rather than approach Him for forgiveness. Without agreeing with the shame, man could have come to God repentant and vulnerable. The separation we see in the garden was not God's choice. The separation was not because God could not be near a sinner, as most of us have been taught. God had a relationship with Cain even after he murdered his brother, Abel. Jesus was openly accused of eating with tax collectors and sinners. The separation was not from God's side of the relationship, but man's. Satan is an expert at destroying relationships, and shame is one of the main tools he uses to achieve that end. At this wedding, Satan is doing what he does best: killing, stealing and destroying. But, this event is unique because Jesus is present. In my opinion, Satan is testing the strength of Jesus, his opponent. Whose shame does Jesus despise? Most of my life I have held an incorrect understanding of the concept of shame mentioned in Hebrews 12:2: "...who for the joy that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." I had always believed that, while on the cross, Jesus was despising His own shame of being naked and being made a public spectacle. This interpretation is incorrect. The Greek word used for shame in Hebrews 12:2 means: dishonesty or disgrace. In Hebrews 6:6 the same writer spoke of shame, but used a different word when he referenced Jesus's crucifixion: "if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame." The Greek word for shame used here means: to make a public example. If the shame referred to in Hebrews 12:2 had been Jesus's public humiliation the writer would have used this same word. He was inspired to use a different word. Jesus is incapable of having shame of His own because he has never done anything to be ashamed of. The shame that Jesus despised was...
