Gerard P. Hodgkinson Professor of Organizational Behaviourand Strategic Management and Director of the Centre forOrganizational Strategy, Learning and Change (COSLAC) at theUniversity of Leeds, UK. He earned his BA, MSc and PhD degrees atWolver hampton Polytechnic and the Universities of Hull andSheffield, respectively. He has authored or co-authored three booksand over 50 scholarly journal articles and chapters on topics ofrelevance to the field of industrial and organizational psychology.In 2001 he was elected a Fellow of both the British PsychologicalSociety and the British Academy of Management, in recognition ofhis pioneering contribution to the psychology of strategicmanagement as an emergent field of study. In recent years this andrelated work on managerial and organizational cognition has beentaken forward through the award of a Fellow ship of the AdvancedInstitute of Management (AIM) Research, the UK's researchinitiative on management funded by the Economic and Social ResearchCouncil (ESRC) and Engineering and Physical Sciences ResearchCouncil (EPSRC). From 1999 to 2006 Gerard was the Editor-in-Chiefof the British Journal of Management and currently serves on theEditorial Boards of the Academy of Management Review, Journal ofOccupational and Organizational Psychology, Journal ofOrganizational Behavior and Organizational Science. A practisingchartered occupational psychologist, he has conducted numerousconsultancy assignments for leading private and public-sectororganizations. J. Kevin Ford is a Professor of Psychology at MichiganSate University. H is major research interest involve improvingtraining effectiveness through efforts to advance our understandingof training needs assessment, design, evaluation and transfer. healso concentrates on understanding change dynamics n organizationaldevelopment efforts and building continuous learning andimprovement orientations within organizations. He has publishedover 50 articles and chapters and four books relevant to industrialand organizational psychology. Currently he serves on the editorialboards of the Journal of Applied Psychology and Human Performance.He is an active consultant with private industry and the publicsector on training, leadership and organizational change issues.Kevin is a Fellow of the American Psycho9logical Associationand the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology. hereceived his BS in psychology from the University of Maryland andhis MA and PhD in psychology from the Ohio State University.Further information about Kevin and his research and consultingactivities can be found at http://www.io.psy.msu.edu/jkf.
