Contemporary economists, when analyzing economic behavior of people, need to use the diversity of research methods and modern ways of discovering knowledge. The increasing popularity of using economic experiments requires the use of IT tools and quantitative methods that facilitate the analysis of the research material obtained as a result of the experiments and the formulation of correct conclusions. This proceedings volume presents problems in contemporary economics and provides innovative solutions using a range of quantitative and experimental tools. Kesra Nermend
is Professor at University of Szczecin (Poland), President of Center of Knowledge and Technology Transfer at University of Szczecin, and Head of the Department of Computational Methods in Experimental Economics in Institute of IT in Management in The Faculty of Economics and Management at University of Szczecin. He has authored and co-authored about 100 publications mainly in the area of using quantitative methods and tools for the analysis of economic phenomena.
Malgorzata Latuszynska
is Professor and Head of the Department of Economic Processes Modelling and Simulation Methods and Vice-Dean for Student Affairs at Institute of IT in Management in The Faculty of Economics and Management, University of Szczecin. She is also Vice-president of Center of Knowledge and Technology Transfer at University of Szczecin.  She is author and co-author of about 170 publications mainly from the scope of simulation methods and tools of computer science in economics, management and transport.
