[The Gift of the Analogy – A New Approach to an Old Problem]
This thesis submits a new approach to the old theological problem of the analogy. The new approach is based on a re-lecture of the phenomenologies of Michel Henry, Jean-Luc Marion and Marc Richir and was put into contrast with the theologies of Erich Przywara, Karl Barth, Eberhard Jüngel and Wolfhart Pannenberg. The thesis argues for a new hermeneutical phenomenology of the transpassible moment of the sacrament. In the new figure of freedom as a gift, the analogy emerges as a transpassible language-oriented form of the speech of God and humans. The understanding of the analogy as a gift re-opens a view on a new shift to an event based ontology of the relation of God and humans.
