Needham, Andrew
Andrew Needham is a Chartered Tax and heads VAT Specialists Ltd, Andrew has a degree in Law from UCNW Bangor and is a specialist in indirect taxes. Andrew has over 20 years' experience in VAT having spent 7 years in HM Customs & Excise, firstly as a VAT inspector, then as a departmental trainer, and finally in a headquarters policy unit dealing with the introduction of the EU single market.
After leaving Customs he joined Deloitte & Touche as a VAT consultant in Liverpool and then Manchester, where he qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser. Andrew then moved to London where he worked on formulating indirect tax planning ideas, writing articles for tax publications, and was author of Deloitte's Weekly VAT News. From Deloitte's, Andrew moved to Ernst & Young in Manchester as a senior indirect tax consultant, where he managed the indirect tax affairs of several multi-national companies.

Andrew is VAT adviser to the Forum of Private Business and represents them quarterly on the Joint VAT Consultative Committee. He is a specialist in international tax, land and property issues and also a lecturer on VAT issues. Andrew is author of Bloomsbury Professional Value Added Tax (previously Tottel's Value Added Tax).

Wünschmann-Lyall, Iris
Iris Wünschmann-Lyall is a solicitor and specialises in estate planning, trusts, probate and tax related matters and is a Registered Trust and Estate Practitioner.

Erwood, Chris
Chris Erwood is a qualified associate of both the Chartered Institute of Taxation and STEP.

Cave, Rebecca
Rebecca Cave is a chartered accountant and chartered tax adviser, whose primary role is tax policy editor at AccountingWEB. She also writes newsletters for various other publishers and is the co-author of the core tax annual: Capital Gains Tax, and of Capital Gains Tax Reliefs of SMEs and Entrepreneurs, both published by Bloomsbury Professional. She is also edits Bloomsbury's Tax Rates and Tables.

In her spare time Rebecca serves on the ICAEW Tax Faculty's Small Business Tax technical committee, the CIOT's Owner Managed Business Tax sub-committee, and the CIOT Mid-Anglia branch committee.

Miller, Pete
Pete Miller, CTA (Fellow), Partner, The Miller Partnership

Pete Miller has nearly 25 years' experience in tax, covering all aspects of business and corporation tax issues. Pete founded The Miller Partnership in 2011 to offer expert advice on all business tax issues to other advisers, particularly lawyers and accountants. Specialist areas include reorganisations and reconstructions, the substantial shareholdings exemption, transactions in securities, HMRC clearances, disguised remuneration, taxation of intangible assets and the new patent box legislation.

Pete Miller joined the Inland Revenue in 1988 and was an Inspector of Taxes in Birmingham and London before moving on to posts in Policy Division and then Technical Division. Since leaving the Revenue in 1997, Pete worked for 11 years in 'Big 4' firms and specialised in advising on major corporate transactions.

Pete is a regular speaker at conferences and a frequent contributor to books and journals, with over 50 published articles. He is a member of the Editorial Boards of Taxation, The Tax Journal and Simon's Taxes and a Consulting Editor to TolleyGuidance. He is co-author, with George Hardy, of Taxation of Company Reorganisations (Bloomsbury Professional, 4th edition, June 2012).

Drysdale, Donald
Donald Drysdale has written extensively for the professional tax press. He was a senior tax partner at KPMG, with a varied client list including quoted companies, family businesses, individuals and trusts, before taking on national responsibility for directing UK-wide tax technology, first at KPMG and later at PwC. He later became Assistant Director of Tax at ICAS, dealing with HM Treasury and HMRC on corporate, international, small business, capital taxes and private client tax issues and tax technology topics, while also providing support to ICAS members. He now concentrates full time on his activities as a freelance tax author and editor through his company Taxing Words Ltd. When not writing, he enjoys driving his meticulously restored 1964 Morris Minor 1000 Tourer known as 'Trafalgar'.

Wright, Ken
Ken Wright is an Executive Director- Business Advisory with Ernst and Young LLP. He is an experienced specialist in Stamp Duty Land Tax, Stamp duty, Stamp Duty Reserve Tax and Land and Buildings Transaction.

Sarah Bradford BA (Hons) ACA CTA (Fellow) is the director of Writetax Ltd, a company providing technical writing and consultancy services on tax and national insurance.
