Chambers, Andrew
Eur Ing Professor Andrew D Chambers, BA, CEng, FCCA, FCA, FIIA, FBCS, CITP, FRSA

Projects within the past twelve months have included undertaking the board evaluation of a large bank, and the external quality assessment of a large internal audit function. Andrew is a member of the International Internal Audit Standards Board and also a member of the committee set up at the request of the Bank of England and the FSA to develop enhanced guidelines for internal auditing in the UK financial sector. Until early 2013 Andrew was professor of corporate governance at London South Bank University; he is professor emeritus at Cass Business School, London where he was Dean. From 2010 to 2012 he was the Specialist Advisor to the House of Lords Economic Affairs Select Committee's Inquiry into audit market concentration which resulted in the on-going investigation by the Competition Commission. Andrew is Deputy Chair of the Fédération des Experts Comptables Européen's (FEE's) Corporate Governance and Company Law committee, Brussels. He is a judge for the annual Hawkamah Bank Corporate Governance Awards in the MENESA region (Middle East, N. Africa and S. Asia) (2009-) and also for the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators/Hermes Transparency in Governance Awards (2011-). Andrew has authored twenty books and over one hundred papers in professional and peer-reviewed journals.

Andrew Chambers is Professor of Corporate Governance at London South Bank University. He has been described by The Times as 'a worldwide authority on corporate governance'. In 2010 he was appointed as Specialist Advisor to the House of Lords' Economic Affairs Select Committee's Inquiry into Auditors: Market concentration on their role. He is deputy chair of Fédération des Experts Compatables Européen's (FEE's) Corporate Governance and Company Law standing Working Party (Brussels). Andrew is also a member of the International Internal Audit Standards Board (IIASB).
