The number of electronic devices is increasing dramatically, even in automotive environments. Car and semiconductor manufacturers altogether developed the new communication protocol FlexRay to enable highly sophisticated applications like x-by-wire. Of course, great efforts are made to ensure error-free operation of these new hardware and software technologies.
