Gerard P. Hodgkinson is Professor of OrganizationalBehaviour and Strategic Management and Director of the Centre forOrganizational Strategy, Learning and Change (COSLAC) at theUniversity of Leeds, UK. He earned his BA, MSc and PhD degrees atWolverhampton Polytechnic and the Universities of Hull andSheffield, respectively. He has (co-) authored three books and over60 scholarly journal articles and chapters on topics of relevanceto the field of industrial and organizational psychology. A Fellowof both the British Psychological Society and the British Academyof Management, and an Academician of the Academy of SocialSciences, his work centres on the analysis of cognitive processesin organizations and the psychology of strategic management. Inrecent years, his work on these topics has been taken forwardthrough the award of a Fellowship of the Advanced Institute ofManagement (AIM) Research, the UK's research initiative onmanagement funded by the Economic and Social Research Council(ESRC) and Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council(EPSRC). From 1999-2006, he was the Editor-in-Chief of theBritish Journal of Management and currently serves on theEditorial Boards of the Academy of Management Review, Journal ofManagement, Journal of Organizational Behavior andOrganization Science. A practising chartered occupationalpsychologist, he has conducted numerous consultancy assignments forleading private and public sector organizations. J. Kevin Ford is a Professor of Psychology at MichiganState University. His major research interests involve improvingtraining effectiveness through efforts to advance our understandingof training needs assessment, design, evaluation and transfer. DrFord also concentrates on understanding change dynamics inorganizational development efforts and building continuous learningand improvement orientations within organizations. He has publishedover 50 articles and chapters and 4 books relevant to industrialand organizational psychology. Currently, he serves on theeditorial boards of the Journal of Applied Psychology andHuman Performance. He is an active consultant with privateindustry and the public sector on training, leadership, andorganizational change issues.
Kevin is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association andthe Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
