The objective of this study is to systematically collate and compare scientific studies that engage with the psychological impacts of space on people in offices. In doing so, the focus is predominantly on empirical studies, and on the effects of spaces on various aspects of performance, concentration, creativity, well-being and regeneration, as well as stress reduction. The identification of results from the selected studies will be assigned to typical tasks and/or work processes in office and knowledge work, which should be supported by spatial differentiation within a working environment. This creates a comprehensive overview of new design approaches in the modern working world which relate to aspects of environmental psychology. The study is therefore intended for all those who engage with the effects and design of space, in particular office space.
